Look, everybody in America has, at one time or another, heard of the Hollywood "Casting Couch"! It was never a secret, and you would have to be some kind of idiot to think that there wasn't any actual basis behind it. And, yet, each and every man and woman who dreamed of a career in the movies just ignored it, glossed it over, or figured it would never happen to THEM. And when they had made their way to Hollywood, and were finally face to face with the reality, with few exceptions, they complied, because they had said that they would do ANYTHING to be a movie star and they MEANT it. NOW, after they willingly put out to get where they are, they are COMPLAINING about it??? Well, I guess it is, after all, a good thing that this system has been "exposed". But, I remember hearing about the "Casting Couch" back when I was a small child, in the early 1950s, and didn't even know what it meant! This system has been in place since at least the 1920s, and every single one of those actors and actresses got where they are by being a part of it. Well, if they want to destroy it, great; if they say it's time for a change, great! I'm with them 100% . BUT DON'T STAND UP THERE AND LOOK DOWN YOUR NOSE AT THE REST OF AMERICA, BECAUSE EVERY DAMNED ONE OF YOU AT THE GOLDEN GLOBES WAS A PART OF THAT SYSTEM!!!
